Frequently asked questions

What kind of startups does BYT Capital invest in?

We back early-stage, research-driven companies developing breakthrough technologies with the power to transform industries, regenerate ecosystems, and reshape economies. Our mission is to support founders tackling today’s most complex challenges with innovations built to endure and scale globally.

What stage do you typically invest in?

We usually invest at the early stage — from pre-seed to Series A. Our aim is to support founders early in their journey and stay with them as they scale.

How much do you usually invest?

Our typical investment ranges from $150,000 to $1.2 million, depending on the round and your needs.

How can I pitch my startup to BYT Capital?

You can either be referred through someone in our network or share your deck with us directly through the “Pitch To Us” section on our website. We review every pitch and aim to get back to you within a week.

What happens after I submit my deck?

If your idea resonates with us, someone from our investment team will reach out to schedule a call. We’ll want to learn more about you, your product, and your vision.

What is the first call like?

It’s a friendly and open conversation. We’ll ask thoughtful questions to understand what you're building and how you think — but it’s always a two-way dialogue.

What happens after the initial chat?

If we’re excited about what you’re building, we’ll share your pitch with our partners. You’ll hear back from us within 14 days about the next steps.

What is Pitch Day?

Pitch Day is your time to shine. You’ll present to our full investment team — either virtually or in person. The team will already be familiar with your deck and prior discussions, so they’ll come engaged, curious, and ready for a deeper dialogue. After your presentation, there’s a Q&A session.

What happens after Pitch Day?

After Pitch Day, we conduct an internal review to assess all details. Our goal is to make a timely decision and communicate it to you as soon as possible.

What happens if you decide to invest?

If we move forward, we’ll share an initial term sheet outlining our commitment.
